Although the juicy yellow flesh is a little too sour to eat on its own, its citrus fragrance and tartness means it’s wonderful combined with all manner of ingredients and dishes, from sweet to savoury. The bright yellow skin, when zested, can be used as well, making lemons a kitchen essential.
Lol, I buy two, they last all month! If I try this with supermarket Lemons they are dry and wizened by then. I do tend to use the zest too, so it's great that the skin is clear of blemishes so I can do that without worry.
Some of the best lemons I have used! They were so full of juice I needed few lemons for my marmalade.Recommended
Unfortunately I could not use one of the lemons as it was mouldy
