When is celery in season?
Celery is typically in season in the UK from late summer to early spring, with peak season typically from September to March. However, due to modern farming techniques, it can be available year-round in some places.
Celery is a cool weather crop, it grows best when temperatures are between 60-65F (15-18C) during the day and 50-55F (10-13C) during the night. It also does well in humid climates. The celery stalks should be harvested when they are firm and crisp, before the leaves start to yellow.
