ABOUT US

We are a small local business based in the fruit and vegetable wholesale market delivering a wide variety of produce to businesses in Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd and surrounding areas. We supply schools, restaurants, cafes, and local shops, working with a number of local suppliers in order to make sure we source the best quality produce.

 

THE ROLE

Due to growth, we are looking to recruit another delivery driver to join our team. The position is part-time, working 20 hours over 4 days Mon, Wed-Fri starting at 4.30am daily.

You will collect fresh produce from our local suppliers and organise the orders before completing the daily deliveries on a pre-planned route. The successful candidate will be able to provide excellent customer service.

Due to the nature of our business early morning starts are essential. The role involves heavy lifting, knowledge of fruits and vegetables, and requires a friendly demeanour.

 

Job type: Part-time

Salary: From £13.00 per hour

Schedule: 5-hour early morning shift

 

Your daily responsibilities will be:

• Delivering a number of orders to wholesale clients in a particular area.
• Collection of fresh produce from our local suppliers, making sure all produce is present and of the quality required.
• Building relationships with our wholesale clients.
• Driving safely and responsibly within the law. You will be representing our brand in a positive way.
• To accurately record data such as delivery times and proof of deliveries.

What you will need:

• A valid UK Driving Licence which has been held for 12+ months.
• To be someone who always strives to deliver a quality service to your customers.
• A positive attitude and approachable manner.
• To demonstrate reliability.
