The tomato growing season in the UK typically runs from May to October, with the peak of the season being in the summer months from July to September. However, due to the fact that tomatoes are now widely grown in greenhouses, it is possible to find tomatoes in supermarkets all year round.

Although, tomatoes grown outside in the peak of the summer will likely have the best flavour and texture compared to those grown in greenhouses or imported from other countries.
